Call of Duty: Modern Warfare"Redirects gases outward to stabilize the weapon for better control of sustained fire."- In-game description Muzzle Brake General informationĪll except AN-94, AS VAL, Crossbow, Rytec AMR Statistics The unique campaign-exclusive muzzle brake model on the MTAR-X2. Players may also want to do this if they want to activate certain Easter Eggs, as the ARK can interfere with Easter Eggs that require the player to shoot something. When playing with multiple players, it is possible to remove the ARK from a player's weapon by equipping a found Muzzle Brake, allowing another player to take the ARK in the event a player finds a spare ARK and would like to give it to someone else. Still, due to the ARK's rarity, the Muzzle Brake is a common sight to see on other players' primary weapons, and is especially common to see among newer players who do not have the yet. However, the ARK is superior to the Muzzle Brake in virtually all facets. As a result, the Muzzle Brake is a highly desirable attachment, as the number of instances in which the player is dealing less damage due to damage drop-off are reduced. The Muzzle Brake performs the same role it does in Multiplayer, increasing range. When the Pistol ARK Upgrade is active, the pistol will have no way to equip a Muzzle Brake. The Pistol ARK Upgrade will modify the Muzzle Brake attachment upgrade for the pistols to give the pistol an ARK instead. Still, the ARK is a better choice for said weapons. However, certain weapons will have their view of the iron sights obstructed by the ARK on account of how large the ARK is, whereas the Muzzle Brake never blocks the sight picture. The ARK is usually better than the Muzzle Brake overall, so users should not hesitate to swap out the Muzzle Brake for an ARK if given the opportunity. The Muzzle Brake conflicts with the ARK attachment, as the ARK is also an attachment which fixates at the end of the barrel of a weapon. Despite having an integrated Silencer, the K7 can equip the Muzzle Brake as well. The Honey Badger also could not equip the Muzzle Brake, but the Honey Badger has since been removed from Extinction and is now only available in Chaos Mode. However, upgrading the player's pistol will give it a Muzzle Brake. The Muzzle Brake can be added to any weapon excluding pistols and Sniper Rifles. The Muzzle Brake can be found as a searchable item in Extinction maps Point of Contact, Nightfall, Mayday and Awakening. Using this on a submachine gun in conjuction with a Foregrip allows them to be even more effective in medium range. It also works good on submachine guns, because although they do not have as low of range as shotguns, they do have low range. Using this in conjunction with Slug Rounds on a shotgun will allow the player to kill enemies at a range more comparable to a submachine gun's effective range. It works great on shotguns due to their very low range, despite the lower range amount compared to other weapon types. It gives every weapon 20% more range, except for Marksman Rifles and Shotguns, which get 15% more range. The Muzzle Brake appears in multiplayer and costs 4 Squad Points. This muzzle brake has a different appearance from the one seen in multiplayer and Extinction. It is attached to most of the MTAR-X2s used by the Federation in the space orbit. The Muzzle Brake appears only in one mission, "Ghost Stories". ![]() 4"Increases damage at long range."- In-game description Campaign ![]()
